McCordsville Knows How to Picnic
McCordsville Elementary really nailed the “perfect fall evening” vibe. I parked myself next to the food truck—prime real estate if you ask me—and spent the evening surrounded by the smell of burgers, the sound of laughter, and a whole lot of kids running around like it was their job.
Tickets were flying, prizes were won, and somehow, I ended up swarmed by readers determined to talk their parents into just one more book. (Ten out of ten negotiation skills, by the way.)
The PTO ran a tight ship, the weather was showing off, and the whole thing had that easy kind of joy that makes you forget you’re technically in a parking lot. Fifteen
percent of the sales are heading right back to the school, which makes every book bought feel a little extra special.
McCordsville families, thanks for packing my shelves and my heart in equal measure. Until next time!
Cooled down, cleaned up, and zero regrets-
XO-Sylvia
